Location Reccies
Location Reccies (Hackney)
This is in Hackney, on a road called 'Tudor Road' which we have easy access to since it is my mother's bosses' building that he usually keeps out to rent. Since no one has asked to buy it yet, we have been able to use it for a day. He had given us permission informally through my mother and since he has been incredibly busy in Wales with his camp site and resort, we haven't been able to get an official email back however we certainly have permission. We chose this hallway because it looks scruffy and with the right lighting, incredibly creepy, eerie and mysterious and also because we have easy access to it. It's the same with the room. There is enough space for Taylor to run around in it and do crazy things without having to worry about the size of the room.

Production Log - Week 3
What I have achieved this week & how I am apart of it:
This week we had successfully finished the shooting scripts to a polished standard, which was my job just to make sure that we had included everything that we needed to and that we hadn't left anything out accidentally. This was essential as the shooting script is the main ingredient to a well shot and well edited video, it is now our Bible, it's incredibly hard to actually get it done perfectly and takes a lot of time and a massive amount of concentration but once it is done to a high standard, it is worth sitting back and accepting that fav that you are ready to move on with the shooting scripts. We had also begun to do the pure production planning in which the paperwork had been filled out, including risk assessment and filming schedules. Since Taylor was seriously ill this week, it was up to Anthony and I to get as much done as possible.
HOW DOES THIS FIT IN WITH THE PRODUCTION SCHEDULE?
Technically, the original dates for filming were supposed to be this week, due to the original dates that we were given. However hardly any of us had predicted how long the shooting scripts and the pre production planning was going to take. Therefore we had to change the filming dates just to make sure that everything could stay on track.
WERE THERE ANY PROBLEMS?
It was difficult to get filming dates that worked with everyone, including other groups. Because Taylor was in another music video, we had to think of dates that she could do as well however since she was in and out of hospital this week it was difficult to communicate with her and to receive straight answers with her.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Messaging Taylor on Twitter and by text was the main solution - if she didn't answer within five minutes we had to keep referring back to the other group to ask them for their free dates and compare them to our free dates in order for us to split Taylor evenly and still allowing for her to actually have a half term. This has now been resolved and final dates have been set.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK?
To get all of the pre production planning paperwork done. We didn't realise it would take this long but it is essential to get it done. Hopefully by half term we should be ready to film.

Production Log - Week 2
What I have achieved this week & how I am apart of it:
I have successfully within my group created a detailed shooting script toward the music video. Whilst we were planning ideas we had to write them down on the rough copy however this week we have successfully completed a detailed shooting script complete with description of actions for each lyrics, the settings and the equipment used. This then allowed us to have a clear visual representation on what exactly we wanted to film in the video. I was apart of it by inputting ideas frequently and making sure that all the ideas were relevant.
HOW DOES THIS FIT IN WITH THE PRODUCTION SCHEDULE?
Before, we had a rough outline of what we wanted but if we were to take that plan and start filming straight away we wouldn't be able to get a clear video and things would be too confusing, due to the lack of detail. However now we have a clear specific idea, we can now film quickly and effectively as we know exactly what we want. This can them leave time for re-filing and editing to perfection.
WERE THERE ANY PROBLEMS?
As the proper planning started, we realised how difficult this was going to be. We didn't realise that there was literally going to be a shot for every line, so the rough idea that we had, had to then be condensed so that we didn't spend the first verse of the song with the main bulk of the storyline. So it took a while for us to all think of specific ideas but we did eventually.

HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
We had to constantly refer to the lyrics, tempo and mood of the song in order to get the true ideas to begin to flow. However this still took a little longer than anticipated. But once the first idea for the first lyric was thrown out there, all of a sudden we all had a lot of ideas to put down and we even found that we had some left over.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK?
Next week we're hoping to properly finalise the professional shooting script, we are hoping to get it done to a standard that is fit for anyone to read and automatically sees what the video we're trying to put across is. By this time next week, we should be prepared to film.
